About the Team:  The Career Education and Employment department sits within the Digital Transformation & Quality Learning (DTQL) unit and has responsibility for supporting HE and TAFE students to gain career readiness skills and relevant work experience that enables employment success. The broader DTQL unit is responsible for developing strategic directions in digital learning, cross sector learning design, the use of educational technologies and leads the direction of Wyndham and Brimbank Tech Schools.. About the Role:  We’re looking for a strategic, delivery-focused leader to build on how VU Careers Hub connects with industry. As the Industry Engagement Lead, you’ll drive initiatives across industry projects, career content and light-touch recruitment, while strengthening partnerships that support student employment outcomes. You’ll work with employers, staff and students to translate activity into practical opportunities, ensuring industry is a core part of the student experience. Position Key Duties  You duties may include:  * Lead a small team to deliver high-impact, coordinated support to employers, offering tailored solutions that connect students to placements, internships, and graduate opportunities. * Design and deliver creative, student-focused initiatives that align with industry needs and resonate with VU’s diverse student cohort. * Proactively grow and manage employer relationships, identifying opportunities to create meaningful pathways to employment. * Oversee the transition to a new integrated Employer Portal, ensuring it supports effective relationship management and offers a seamless experience for industry partners.  * Build strategic internal partnerships across WIL, academic, and industry engagement teams to ensure a collaborative, cohesive employer engagement approach.  * Leverage data and feedback to refine strategy, enhance services, and scale initiatives that drive measurable employment outcomes.
