SUMMARY

Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area is a community partnership with the mission to build an employer-driven workforce system that meets the demands of a global economy by providing employment services to businesses and job seekers in the Rural Capital Area of Texas.
Acting as the subject matter expert, the Industry Engagement Manager, Healthcare will utilize networking, outreach, education, and consultation skills to develop new partnerships and grow current relationships with businesses and community partners that impact their assigned industry sector/s, helping to start new workforce initiatives to meet industry needs and supporting internal WSRCA stakeholders as they seek to engage industry to reach their departmental objectives.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Organizational Development, Communications, Human Resources, or related field of study
  • *Equivalent education plus progressively responsible experience in the direct field will be considered
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities required
  • Excellent collaboration, analytical, oral, and written communication, technical writing skills and proficiency in MS office products is required
  • Excellent analytical, reporting and data visualization skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • 2- 4 years’ experience working in a healthcare field is preferred, particularly knowledge of the nursing profession or nurse education path
  • Business Development and/or sales experience preferred

    Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Develop new and grow current partnerships to identify and create career pathways within the selected industry sector, which include apprenticeships and internships.
  • Serve as WSRCA’s industry sector expert, helping to create new and support existing industry sector partnerships.
  • Facilitate round table discussions assessing employer needs and inviting stakeholders to participate and develop responsive workforce solutions.
  • Solicit employer guidance on industry-valued credentials to help training providers develop relevant curriculum.
  • Work alongside the marketing team to create content pieces that promote their industry sectors.
  • Support the K-12 Engagement team by helping to integrate relevant industry partners in the events and initiatives they are conducting with the local ISDs.
  • Keep a pulse on national and state trends in workforce development by regularly reviewing labor market data, staying up-to-date on legislative changes, and reading local business news.
  • Consult with businesses about their labor needs and offer WSRCA and TWC resources and services to build out personalized workforce solutions.
  • Engage in public speaking with a wide variety of audiences on workforce development topics including, but not limited to, labor market information, talent pipeline strategies, apprenticeship programs, WSRCA business services, and more.
  • Work cross-departmentally and with all contractors to support the larger Employer Engagement strategy of the organization.
  • Attend and represent WSRCA at workforce events and meetings hosted by partners, employers and elected officials.
  • Attend TWC Apprenticeship Texas Conference and any other appropriate conferences.
  • Update CRM tool regularly with employer engagement data.
  • Fulfill all required data maintenance and reporting for grants as assigned.
  • Participate in relevant chambers, advisory boards, or committees that support the objectives of this role and/or the general interests of WSRCA.
  • Assist with grant writing for industry-relevant applications.
  • Demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity in all interactions and infuse these values into all projects and programs
