Description The Infant Care Teacher will be responsible for the delivery of educational services to children in a classroom setting in a lead or assisting role. As an Infant Care Teacher, you will be responsible for lesson planning, ongoing assessments, and home visits. The Infant Care Teacher will be responsible for leading a team and will be responsible for the safety and supervision of children at all times. Requirements: · Complete effective lesson plans with clear objectives encompassing the whole child; including differentiated instruction and social-emotional learning. · Manage classroom staff (teaching assistants and one-to-one aides) to implement routine and structure in the classroom. · All required reports on students are substantial and current. Including, but not limited to Individualized Education Plans, attendance, progress notes, report cards, milieu logs, notable event reports and parent communication systems. · Completing initial assessments of each students’ capabilities upon entering the classroom and throughout the year to assess both academic and social-emotional learning growth. · Makes clear to students what appropriate behavior is and supports them in meeting expectations, using explicit and simple directions. · Offers positive response to emotional needs of students. · Shows willingness to accept students as they are. · Organizes and manages the classroom environment to maximize instructional advantage. · Provides students with a clear understanding of classroom structure and schedule, utilizing class time effectively. · Provides a variety of materials and techniques to stimulate student learning. · Inspires and motivates students to develop, according to their abilities, while providing for all health and safety considerations. · Maintains positive student-teacher relationships. · Must be capable of assisting occupants in the orderly evacuation of the site, by both primary and secondary means during fire drills, and other evacuation emergencies. · Must be physically capable at all times of initiating or assisting in all components of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, including passing scores in both written and physical examinations. · Must be able to maintain the safety of children by responding promptly and effectively to potentially dangerous situations. Requirements Associates degree with Infant Toddler CDA preferred. Experience with the population served preferred.
