Description Astor Services is hiring Infant and Toddler Teachers today! Enjoy working Monday through Friday from 7:30-3:00 in a fun and nurturing learning environment. Early Head Start is a federally funded program delivering services to infants 8 weeks to 18 months old in core areas of early learning, health, and family well-being. The Teacher will be responsible for the delivery of educational services to children in a classroom setting in a lead role. The teacher will utilize the Creative Curriculum, a play-based Curriculum, to provide a safe, engaging and nurturing classroom for infants and toddlers. The teacher will be responsible for implementing high quality lesson plans, ongoing assessments, and will participate in home visits to provide families with feedback on their child’s development. We are seeking a positive, professional and caring teacher to join our team! Responsibilities: Creates a well-organized learning environment for children that conveys a welcoming, trusting, and safe environment. Understands and incorporates the principles of play-based learning. Demonstrates effective classroom management, including responsibility for supervision of all children.? Completes effective lesson plans with clear objectives and aligns with the curriculum. Completes initial screenings of each child’s developmental capabilities upon entering the classroom. Documents ongoing observations and assessments through the Creative Curriculum assessment tool and provide feedback to families via home visits and parent teacher conferences Incorporates a variety of experiences in the classroom to individualize and foster the children’s emotional, cognitive, language, physical, and self-help skill development.? Able to work as a team member and manage classroom staff (teaching assistants and one-to-one aides) to implement routine and structure in the classroom.? Follows safety and health practices in the daily operation of duties to maintain a safe learning environment. What we provide: Offers four personal days.
