Infant Room Lead Teacher - Bright Lights Early Learning Center

About Us:
Bright Lights is a newly remodeled, 3-classroom, non-profit Early Learning Center in the West City Park neighborhood, just minutes from Downtown Denver. We serve children ages 6 months to 5 years old with a Reggio-inspired, values-based curriculum, Conscious Discipline, and the Nurtured Heart Approach.
We’re hiring a full-time Infant Nurse Supervisor (IPS) to start ASAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide responsive, nurturing care to infants.
- Guide the implementation of a Reggio-inspired, child-centered, and value-based curriculum.
- Facilitate a safe, joyful learning environment that encourages exploration and self-development.
- Maintain individual student portfolios for documentation and assessment.
- Supervise infants at all times, ensuring safety through sight and sound.
- Use positive guidance techniques, including Conscious Discipline and the Nurtured Heart Approach, to support the development of self-control and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Communicate positively and regularly with parents through daily summaries and emails.
- Follow all child care regulations set by the Colorado Department of Human Services.
Qualifications:
- Required: Meet Colorado State Child Care Licensing educational qualifications and hold a PDIS Level 2 Credential and eligible for INS qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience working with young children, particularly infants.
- First Aid, CPR, and additional required certifications (can be completed within 30 days of hire).
- Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
- Frequent bending, standing, sitting, and engaging in active play with infants.
Hours:
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday: 7:30am-4:00pm
The calendar includes select public holidays and Jewish festivals.
Salary:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on education and experience.
