REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have Infection Prevention Certification
  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio
  • Long-term care experience preferred
  • Certified in CPR
  • Ability to develop policies and procedures
  • Ability to teach and evaluate clinical performance

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate quality of resident care and outcomes related to healthcare-associated infections
  • Collect, prepare, and analyze infection data; present findings and recommend actions
  • Monitor employee compliance with infection prevention measures
  • Develop and deliver educational programs for staff
  • Serve as a resource across all departments and personnel
  • Implement protection programs for healthcare workers and visitors
  • Set and recommend policies and procedures to prevent adverse events
  • Provide internal and external reporting of infection control data
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, guidelines, and accreditation standards
