These projects will involve audits, surveillance activities, and research initiatives, all designed to reduce infections and enhance patient safety.    Working alongside a team of experienced infection prevention nurses and healthcare professionals, you will contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based infection prevention strategies aligned with Peter Mac’s strategic priorities.   This role provides the opportunity to take on a clinical leadership position and contribute to improving patient outcomes through effective infection prevention practices, all while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.   Key Responsibilities:•    Lead and manage infection prevention quality improvement projects, including audits, surveillance, and research activities.•    Collaborate with Infection Prevention Nurses and multidisciplinary teams to implement strategic infection prevention priorities.•    Develop and execute project plans under the guidance of the Infection Prevention Manager and CNCs.•    Monitor, report on, and analyse project progress using data management tools and Microsoft 365.•    Contribute to the continuous improvement of infection prevention practices, in line with National Quality Standards.   Essential Requirements:•    AHPRA Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience.•    Demonstrated experience or strong interest in Infection Prevention.•    Strong understanding of clinical risk management practices.•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.•    Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.•    Experience in data management and proficiency in Microsoft 365.•    Commitment to quality improvement and patient safety.•    Ability to influence and drive change in clinical practice.•    Desirable Requirements:•    Consideration to work towards accreditation as a Nurse Immuniser.•    Interest in training as a Hand Hygiene Auditor.•    Recent experience or demonstrated interest in project management. Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is a world leader in cancer research, education, and treatment.
