JOB SUMMARY
Purdue University Student Health Center (PUSH) is seeking a dedicated Infection Prevention and Staff Educator to lead vital infection prevention and control initiatives that safeguard the campus community’s health. In this essential role, you will annually evaluate and enhance the Infection Prevention Control and Safety Program, Education Plan, and Respiratory Protection Program to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the Student Health Center. You will chair the Infection Prevention and Control Committee, leading monthly meetings that drive continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
You will also develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive educational programs focusing on effective onboarding, retention, and ongoing professional development to cultivate an engaged and competent workforce committed to exemplary patient care. Partnering closely with PUSH departments and leadership, you will support safe, patient-centered care by promoting adherence to regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies through strong collaboration and dedicated staff education. Your leadership will serve as a role model for advancing clinical practice and enhancing patient outcomes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association.Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience with skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of duties as assigned to this position.
Preferred:
Three (3) years nursing supervisor and quality improvement experience.
