Join us in creating a vibrant, free multicultural festival at the iconic Yonge Dundas Square (Sankofa Square)! This dynamic event will feature diverse performances, interactive cultural exhibits, and global cuisine. We are looking for a Volunteer Influencer Marketing Coordinator to help amplify the festival’s reach and bring our celebration of culture to larger audiences through strategic partnerships with online influencers.
POSITION SUMMARY
As the Volunteer Influencer Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for identifying, reaching out to, and nurturing relationships with social media influencers who align with our festival’s mission. Your role is critical in driving online buzz and attracting diverse attendees to this high-energy community event.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Social Media Savvy: Familiarity with major social platforms and influencer marketing trends.
- Communication & Negotiation: Strong verbal and written skills for effective outreach, proposal drafting, and relationship management.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple influencer campaigns, track deliverables, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Influencer Research & Outreach
- Identify influencers on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and others whose content and audience align with the festival’s multicultural theme.
- Develop personalized outreach strategies to pitch the festival and secure influencer partnerships.
- Partnership Negotiation & Coordination
- Collaborate with influencers to outline expectations (e.g., social media posts, live coverage, giveaways).
- Coordinate any necessary deliverables such as custom graphics or promotional materials.
- Campaign Management & Tracking
- Maintain a content calendar and track influencer posts to ensure timely and accurate promotion.
- Monitor engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares, views) and report on campaign effectiveness.
- Relationship Building
- Maintain positive relationships with influencers through consistent communication, support, and appreciation gestures.
- Invite influencers to attend and experience the festival in person, fostering genuine connections with the event.
- Collaboration with Event Teams
- Work closely with the marketing and social media teams to integrate influencer campaigns into overall promotional strategies.
- Share feedback or ideas from influencers with the broader event committee.
