Description

The Information and Technology Manager shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Continuously improve and coordinate infrastructure activities to optimize resources to benefit the company, our customers, and our employees.

Supervisory responsibilities are as follows:

  • Hires, develops, and coordinates system administrators, regional analysts, programmers, and other information technology team members.
  • Prioritizes and assigns team members to CIS projects using ticket systems to organize tasks.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Participates, supports, and contributes to company meetings and events.
  • Leads team with customer service focus and desire to resolve and improve experiences.
  • Supports ERP conversions and 3rd party software agreements.

Job responsibilities are as follows:

  • Collaborate with users, vendors, technicians, and managers on infrastructure requirements.
  • Communicates the goals, policies, and procedures of the company to the CIS team; develops plans to implement these needs.
  • Evaluates current technology use and needs of the company and recommends software and hardware improvements.
  • Collaborates with parent company IT resources to optimize efficiency of the IT department.
  • Oversees backups, physical security, and video security programs.
  • Stays apprised of industry advancements and educates teams.
  • Prepares and delivers operational or project progress reports.
  • Implements and oversees operation budget and expenditures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Basic computer skills with experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Through understanding of CIS principles, programs, policies, activities, and procedures.
  • Ability to have good phone etiquette.

REQUIRED SOFT SKILLS:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with ability to explain technical problems and offer support.
  • Coachable and willing to learn.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.

EDUCATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

The following qualifications are required:

  • Industry-related experience

The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Programming, Server Management, Networking Infrastructure or related field.
  • Cybersecurity, cloud, networking, or project management certifications
  • Experience with AS400, Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains), SAP (S/4HANA or Dairy Management).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

(S)he will be required to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Will be required to lift and move large amounts of paperwork (boxes of files). Will be required to stoop, bend, and reach above the head and below the knees to file and retrieve data.
