Position Purpose: The purpose of this role is to ensure the stable and secure operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure and excellent delivery of technical services for new and existing IT infrastructure technologies. This role is responsible for analyzing system requirements and defining technology infrastructure that will meet business needs, including server infrastructure, capacity planning, storage requirements, and networking protocols. This includes infrastructure hardware, software, security, and operating systems activities related to telecom, network, servers, databases, and data centers. This role will assist in designing security measures to protect the organization's data and networks. Continuously monitor all operating environments and respond to incidents to ensure optimum performance of IT infrastructure and manufacturing systems to maximize uptime for Operations, with the absolute minimum downtime to the business. Responsible for maintenance and upgrade projects to improve SHF’s operating infrastructure environment. Scope of Authority: Assignments to this position are outlined and work in progress and completed work are reviewed periodically.  This position has a major role in the effective management of budgeted and non-budgeted expenses- but does not have final authority.  This position has authority over the day-to-day decision within the scope of the assigned responsibilities. Working Conditions: This position requires a physical presence in the plant up to 15-20% of the time with the remainder spent in a typical office environment. Heavy workloads and aggressive deadlines are frequent challenges of the position. Occasional travel may be required. Essential Skills: Aware of information security tools, technology and the security controls that can be used to mitigate security threats within solutions and services. Excellent working knowledge and experience to build, configure, administer, troubleshoot, and support infrastructure technologies and solutions such as: compute, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, commercial off the shelf (COTS) and open-source packages and solutions, virtual and cloud including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.  Excellent knowledge and experience in storage virtualization, virtual machines, and VMware software and components.  Excellent analytical skills to investigate problems in systems, processes, services and can contribute to the implementation of remedies and preventative measures. Has the capability to dissect a problem into its component parts to identify and diagnose root causes, allowing problem resolution.  Ability to maintain focus on service delivery and ensure that a set of IT products, suppliers and vendors come together to deliver an IT service. Able to build and test simple interfaces between systems or work on more complex integration as part of a wider team.  Integrates and tests components, systems, and their interfaces to create operational services. Ability to plan, design, manage, execute, and report tests using appropriate tools and techniques. Related Experience:  7+ Years of work experience in IT Infrastructure support.  Strong experience in various Cisco technologies, including switching, routing, and AAA.  Knowledge of network and web-related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, various routing protocols, VPN technologies, etc.  Experience in managing and configuring enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, etc.Strong experience with administration in Firewalls. Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards, including Active Directory, Group Policies, MS Exchange, Core Switching/Routing, SSL/IPSec, SAN, Virtualization VMware, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery. Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and application security.Experience and knowledge of Mobile Device Management strategy and administration (Airwatch, JAMF)Knowledge of ITIL and industry best practicesExperience working with cloud providers for infrastructure and applications.Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Licenses/Certifications:  CompTIA Network+ and CCNA certifications are preferred.
