Job Description:
NetImpact Strategies, Inc. is seeking to hire an Information Assurance Engineer to support a Federal agency.
This role is located 100% onsite in Fort Sam Houston, TX.
Candidates must be eligible for a Secret Clearance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • 2 years of experience in e required proficiency
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Candidates must be eligible for a Secret Clearance.
  • IAT III (CASP CE, CISA, CISSP, GCED, CCNP Security, GCIH, certification as per DoD 8570.01-M standards.
  • IAM III certification (CISM, CISSP (or associate), GSLC) as per DoD 8570.01-M standards.
  • CE: Associate level (professional preferred) certificate for supported technology
  • Ability to work 100% onsite in Fort Sam Houston, TX.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Previous Federal Consulting Experience.
  • Additional certifications in penetration testing, risk management, or network security.
  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices for security assessments and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities
  • Perform independent assessments, including system and software security vulnerability, threat, and risk assessments, and penetration tests on development and operational environments.
  • Conduct full-lifecycle Information Assurance (IA) security analyses, ensuring secure systems solutions that meet customer requirements within technical constraints.
  • Coordinate and conduct security surveys, inspections, and assistance visits to improve security levels.
  • Support the Cybersecurity program, including Network Security Improvement Program (NSIP) initiatives and issue resolution.
  • Provide guidance on accreditation procedures and monitor implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Implement audit measures to ensure compliance with regulatory security requirements.
  • Develop hardware and software safeguards to mitigate risks during the processing of sensitive information.
  • Participate in inspections and surveys of computer systems to assess security measures.
  • Review system access techniques and overall security to ensure data integrity, system reliability, and compliance with security standards (e.g., SRG, STIG, BBP).
  • Provide technical security input on the design, development, integration, and operation of management information systems.
