OCT Consulting is a business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology. Responsibilities and Duties OCT currently has an opening for an Information Assurance/Security Engineer, Manager to work with one of our federal clients. The IASE Manager is responsible for developing and implementing security policies and procedures, IDS/IPS, design, develop and implement security networking architecture, monitoring security systems, managing security solutions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This individual must have a deep understanding of information security concepts such as Access Control, Network Security, Cryptography, and Vulnerability Management. Additionally, they must have experience in managing security projects and responding to Security Incidents, as well as managing security professionals. As such they must have experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the NIST 800-53 Rev 5 controls. This position is contingent upon contract award. Day to day responsibilities include: Managing a team of 5 security professionals on client site Serving as a liaison between the government and the OCT’s delivery team Ensuring all project deliverables are delivered on time and meet OCT standards Coaching/Mentoring project staff Must be a U.S. Citizen BA/BS degree in IT related field 10+ years of experience with Access Control, Network Security, Cryptography, and Vulnerability Management 10+ years of experience managing security projects and security professionals 10+ years of experience AND current CISSP OR 15+ years of experience AND Security+ (CISSP preferred) Proof of Certification(s) required Passing a background check will be required Onsite is required as needed, but at least one day per week OCT offers competitive compensation packages and a full suite of benefits which includes: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Retirement savings 401K plan provided by an industry leading provider with 3% employer contributions of the employee’s gross salary Paid Time Off and Standard Government Holidays Life Insurance, Short- and Long-Term disability benefits Training Benefits Salary Range: $115,000-$145,000 yearly commensurate with experience, education, etc. About OCT Consulting OCT Consulting LLC is a minority-owned, Small ​Disadvantaged Business (SDB) providing professional services and information technology solutions to the Federal government and commercial clients.
