Office of General Counsel Permanent/continuing, full-time appointment Level 6/7: $92,681 - $111,764 + 17% superannuation The University of Wollongong Information Compliance Unit (ICU) is responsible for meeting the University’s information compliance obligations under the NSW State Records Act 1998, NSW Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, NSW Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998, the NSW Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 and other formal requests for information. The ICU is seeking an Information Compliance Coordinator to deliver high quality independent information compliance advice and education to its staff to progress the University’s strategic activities and carry out compliance activities to ensure its statutory requirements are met. Reporting to the Senior Manager and working alongside a high-performing vibrant team, this role is responsible for effectively managing the University’s information compliance obligations through development and application of policies, procedures, tools, education programs and systems to enhance the University’s capability to meet best practice information compliance. This role is also responsible for the effective handling of requests for information including requests from individuals exercising their rights under privacy and access to information laws.
