As a large and increasingly complex organisation, University College Cork is required to comply with an expanding range of legislation and regulations. Responsibility for compliance with a number of statutory and regulatory requirements rests with the Office of Corporate and Legal Affairs. UCC wishes to appoint an experienced individual to the above role to ensure that the responsibilities of the Office are fulfilled in this regard, thus safeguarding the University and its reputation. The Information Compliance Officer will form a part of the Legal and Information Compliance Team and support the University’s mission and activities in pursuit of its strategic objectives (as outlined in UCC’s Strategic Plan: ‘Securing Our Future - UCC Strategic Plan 2023-2028’).
The Information Compliance Officer will work as part of team to support the tasks of the Information Compliance Manager, Deputy Data Protection and Freedom of Information Officers to help ensure the University and its functions comply with all aspects of information compliance legislation including GDPR, Freedom of Information and other relevant legislation.
The work in this role is diverse and will provide the successful candidate with interesting experience across a broad range of activities and the opportunity to develop their skills, and knowledge while being a part of a high-performing, agile group of professionals that strive for excellence daily.

Appointment may be made on the Admin III (Grade 6) Salary Scale (pro-rata): €58,493 - €69,837 (Scale B) / €55,693 - €66,456 (Scale A).
