Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We’re looking for an organised, customer-focused Information Officer to join the CIPC team. You’ll play a key part in supporting the delivery of the service by providing administrative and data support, ensuring information systems run smoothly, and helping internal and external customers get the information and support they need.
Your day-to-day work will include handling service requests, supporting data management, preparing reports, and helping develop informational materials. You’ll use your strong IT and organisational skills to help keep the service running efficiently, and your communication skills to help staff, partners, and customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Administrative duties: You’ll carry out a range of admin tasks including data entry and record keeping, monitor supplies, and help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. You’ll attend meetings and take accurate minutes to support service delivery. You will take initiative to plan and organise your workload, supporting the wider team.
Customer focus: You’ll help process incoming service requests and enquiries, ensuring customers get timely and helpful responses. You’ll provide information to the public and colleagues, referring more complex matters to the right person when needed, and you’ll create a professional and welcoming first point of contact. You’ll help monitor the quality of our service and contribute ideas to improve it.
Information technology: You’ll help maintain and develop our business application systems, promoting good practice in how we use technology. You’ll contribute to organising and updating office and management information systems. You’ll carry out data processing, research and analysis to support service delivery and decision-making. You’ll support IT-related training and promotional activities to help colleagues use systems effectively.
General duties: You’ll communicate clearly, adapting your approach to meet the needs of different audiences. You’ll help develop promotional materials and displays, and support the organisation and delivery of events. You’ll work flexibly, supporting other areas of the team as service needs change.
