JOB SUMMARY

Sabalinks, Inc is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Information Security Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safeguarding our organization’s information systems and data by implementing security measures, monitoring networks for security breaches, and conducting vulnerability assessments. This role requires a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, network architecture, and the ability to respond effectively to incidents.

SKILLS

  • Experience with firewall management (Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS systems, VPN configurations, and encryption technologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) and cloud architecture principles.
  • Knowledge of operating systems including Windows, Linux (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu), macOS, and their respective security configurations.
  • Understanding of system hardening techniques and vulnerability management processes.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python or Bash (Unix shell) for automation tasks.
  • Experience with tools such as Burp Suite for web application security testing and Splunk for log analysis.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices related to cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools to detect potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and networks.
  • Implement security policies and procedures in accordance with NIST standards, ISO 27000 series, and PCI compliance requirements.
  • Manage identity and access management systems, ensuring proper authentication and authorization protocols are followed.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the secure configuration of firewalls, routers, and other network devices (Cisco ASA, Juniper).
  • Develop and maintain system security plans in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Respond to security incidents by conducting thorough investigations, documenting findings, and implementing incident recovery strategies.
  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to enhance the organization’s security posture.
  • Provide training and awareness programs for staff regarding information security best practices.
