ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE IN THE TEAM
For this Information Security Senior Consultant, the primary responsibility is that of Vulnerability Management Analyst for the Cybersecurity Security Operations team within Allstate Canada. This role also includes managing and responding to security incidents, taking a proactive approach to protecting ACG’s critical information assets
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for ensuring the proper execution and handling of all Security threats including Security Incidents and Vulnerabilities.
- Responsible for reviewing scan results, threat intelligence feeds and findings, and working with stakeholders on remediation of these results.
- Responsible for working with auditors during audits of the Security Operations Incident and Vulnerability Management Program.
- Responsible for coordinating responses to security incidents, ensuring containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Responsible for working with business stakeholders when 3rd party Vendor/Supplier incidents and threats are being investigated.
- Responsible for working with security teams during investigations and issues REQ/Work Orders for Firewall Changes, Email Domain Blocks, M365 User deactivations, SIEM tuning and many other tasks when responding to security incidents.
- Responsible for Threat Hunt operations and remediation activities.
- Responsible for monitoring and documenting metrics for Vulnerability Management and Security Operation team.
- The Information Security Senior Consultant role contributes to the mandate of the Security Operations Team and in fulfilling the Cyber Program Road Map Objectives.
- Responsibilities include Leading assigned project work, assessing new tools and capabilities, performing proof of concepts.
- Effective communication skills with resources of all levels (analyst to executive).
- Demonstrate assertiveness in your expertise and be comfortable making recommendations in a professional manner.
