The ideal candidate for this role must have a degree in either one of the following four: Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM). With a collaborative spirit, a keen interest in cybersecurity, and the courage to stay ahead of new threats, you’ll bring creativity and a solutions-oriented approach to tackle complex security challenges and ensure the safety of critical information, as well as being a forward-thinking problem solver, equipped with confidence and a positive mindset, ready to take on the challenges of protecting business data and systems.
As an Information Security Apprentice at TGB, you’ll be instrumental in fostering a culture of security awareness and innovation, working alongside the business to develop and implement robust security solutions.
We’re looking for a proactive individual who embodies Toyota’s six competencies: a team player with a growth mindset and a passion for continuous learning; someone who demonstrates courage in addressing security challenges, curiosity to explore and understand the root causes of security issues, with a focus not only on identifying why they occurred but also proactively implementing measures to prevent their recurrence.

Responsibilities
  • A 2:2 (Second Class) honours degree in an appropriate Computing, Technology or Engineering discipline Degree in a related
  • Demonstrable logical and structured approach to problem solving
  • Skills in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Evidence of a strong desire to learn new skills quickly within a practical working environment.
  • Highly organised and methodical, good listener and attention to detail
  • A passion for creating realistic, viable, practical, and deliverable plans
  • A strong communicator who can engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Innovative mind-set that seeks creative solutions
  • Open to alternative outcomes/solutions
  • Residing in the UK and either living within or willing to relocate to within a commutable distance of our ECO H
