We at WBS IT-Service GmbH support companies and organizations in the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) according to ISO 27001 and NIS2. Our goal is to ensure the highest security standards and to sustainably protect IT infrastructures, even under demanding conditions. To expand our team, we are immediately seeking an Information Security Consultant (m/f/d) in Leipzig. In this role, you will support our clients in implementing ISMS and NIS2 requirements, develop security concepts, and participate in audits. You will also be responsible for process optimization, risk management, and the further development and positioning of our consulting services. Your tasks:

Consulting and implementation of information security management systems: Taking regulatory requirements into account, you will support our clients in establishing and further developing ISMS and NIS2 structures. You will prepare the content in a way that is easily understandable for management and specialist departments and present it at client kick-off meetings. In consultation with the clients, you will also conduct workshops for different management levels.
Development and enhancement of information security management systems: You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of information security management systems (ISMS) for our clients. Furthermore, you will conduct gap analyses and maturity assessments and develop target profiles, roadmaps, and action plans.
Operational implementation support for information security management systems: You will assist in the implementation of organizational and procedural security measures, create and maintain guidelines, processes, and documentation. Furthermore, you will support our clients during audits and certification projects.
Risk and Compliance Management: You identify, assess, and address information security risks. You also support the development of a sustainable compliance framework and derive measures from it to ensure our clients meet regulatory requirements.
Customer communication and service positioning: You coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and translate regulatory requirements into actionable measures. You work closely with the technical departments. Furthermore, you present our services, lead customer workshops, and thus promote a sustainable security awareness.

You bring the following:

Completed technical or business administration studies. Alternatively, completed technical training with several years of professional experience.
Practical experience in setting up and operating an information security management system, in conducting assessments, workshops and projects.
Sound knowledge of the ISO/IEC 27001 standard and regulatory requirements, especially NIS2.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as assertiveness.
Strong customer and service orientation.
Ability to prepare complex content in a way that is appropriate for the target audience.
High level of initiative and organizational talent.
Strong teamwork and communication skills, a high willingness to learn, and a careful, conscientious, and independent work ethic.
Fluent German (C1/C2) and fluent English (B2) skills.
