Description
You stay up to date with the applicable standards, and practices among peer organisations with regard to information security, and you drive the development and implementation of short- and long-term strategies and policies for improving information security within the organisation, tailored to the specific operations environment within OCA. You monitor activities influenced by the information security policies and procedures, you oversee audits and tests to detect vulnerabilities and you assist in translating findings in improvements to the way of working. You advise senior leadership on security of information systems and you find ways to raise information security awareness for all staff. You work closely with the Data Protection Officer, the ICT department, other OCs and MSF sections and external parties to maintain and improve information security. In case of cybersecurity emergencies/ incidents, you are part of the team that coordinates the response. 1. Information Security strategy and CIS Control Framework, in line with GDPR 2. Set of measures and procedures, implementation of the CIS Control Framework 3. Proposed actions, based on insights in compliance with internal control framework, assessments of technology and applications 4. Advice to management/ key persons on measures to improve and implement policies 5. Agreements with vendors and suppliers to safeguard Information security 6. Awareness on information security, with training and education programs and awareness sessions 7. Plans for disaster recovery and incident response, e.g. ransom response - scenario planning 8. Responsibilities
The Information Security Expert will drive the development and implementation of security strategies and policies while monitoring compliance and vulnerabilities.
