SYSTEMTEC is seeking an InformationSecurity Officer for a hybrid opportunity in Columbia, SC. Candidate will lead efforts to upgrade security measures and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Required Qualifications of the InformationSecurity Officer:

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in information security, policy formulation, or compliance management.
  • At least three years of experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
  • Holding certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer is beneficial.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or an Associate’s degree in a similar field with two years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma with five years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities of the InformationSecurity Officer:

  • Design and enforce new security policies.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure policies are practical and effective.
  • Maintain and update a repository of security policies.
  • Translate policies into clear procedures for all teams.
  • Support audits and compliance checks with necessary documentation.
  • Conduct risk assessments and suggest mitigation strategies.
  • Promote security awareness through training materials.
  • Advise teams on policy implementation.
  • Stay informed on new threats and security technologies.

Work Location: Hybrid role (3 days on-site/2 days remote after first month. First month will be 5 days/week on-site in Columbia, SC)
