QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bilingual required (Korean & English).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2)
  • Experience with compliance programs and privacy laws (e.g., CCPA, GDPR)
  • Proficient in risk assessment, security auditing, and incident handling
  • Industry certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISO27001 Lead Implementer)

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT Security Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in safeguarding our organization’s information systems and ensuring compliance with relevant security standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, system administration, and familiarity with various operating systems. You will be responsible for implementing security measures, monitoring systems for vulnerabilities, and responding to incidents to protect our digital assets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Information Security Specialist’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Establish and Maintain Information Security (Main Role) : Develop, implement, and continuously improve the company’s information security in line with industry standards (e.g., ISO27001).
  • Internal Security Audits & Risk Assessments: Conduct regular security audits across business units, identify vulnerabilities, and drive remediation efforts.
  • Support Business & Customer Security Needs: Collaborate with business units to ensure security controls align with operational requirements and respond to customer security inquiries or assessments.
  • Privacy & Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with relevant privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA), including personal data protection and security-related legal requirements.
  • Security Awareness & Incident Response: Lead employee training initiatives to build a strong security culture and coordinate the response to security incidents or breaches.
  • Security Review of Systems and Services: Perform security assessments on internal systems, third-party services, and new IT initiatives; recommend protective measures and mitigation strategies.

HELPDESK & IT SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES (PARTIAL)

  • Provide Tier 1–2 technical support to internal users, including account setup, access management, and basic troubleshooting (Windows, email, VPN, hardware, etc.)
  • Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including PCs, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, operating systems, software, and hardware.
