Description
Information System Security Officer    Location: Panama City Beach, FL  Clearance: Active Secret clearance required. Top Secret preferred.  Program Support: TITAN and Edge Theater Architecture    Build trust into the mission before the first packet moves.  Some cybersecurity roles are all about checking boxes. This one is different.  ISPA Technology is looking for an Information System Security Officer to support TITAN and Edge Theater Architecture efforts in Panama City Beach, Florida. These programs are focused on tactical edge operations, secure data movement, mission integration, and faster decision-making across complex environments. That means cybersecurity is not something we add at the end. It is part of how the mission works from the start.  We are looking for someone who understands that every authorization package, every control review, every POA&M update, and every security conversation helps determine whether the warfighter can trust the system when it matters most.    What you will do  As an ISSO, you will help protect, document, assess, and improve the cybersecurity posture of mission systems supporting tactical and theater edge capabilities.  You will:  * Support RMF activities for systems, enclaves, applications, and mission networks.   * Develop, maintain, and update cybersecurity documentation, including SSPs, POA&Ms, control implementation statements, hardware and software inventories, security plans, and supporting artifacts.   * Coordinate with ISSMs, system administrators, software engineers, network teams, and Government stakeholders to keep systems compliant and mission-ready.   * Support vulnerability management activities, including STIG reviews, ACAS scan coordination, patch tracking, mitigation planning, and evidence collection.   * Help maintain ATO readiness and support continuous monitoring requirements.   * Review system changes for cybersecurity impact and help ensure secure configuration management.   * Translate cybersecurity requirements into practical guidance that technical teams can actually use.   * Support inspections, audits, assessments, and cybersecurity data calls.   * Help protect systems that enable tactical edge data, sensor integration, targeting workflows, and theater-level mission command.   What makes you a strong fit  You notice the small gap before it becomes the big problem. You are comfortable with policy, but you are not buried in it. You know how to work with engineers, operators, and Government cyber stakeholders without turning every conversation into a compliance lecture.  Required qualifications:  * Active Secret clearance or higher.   * Experience supporting DoD cybersecurity, RMF, ATO, or continuous monitoring activities.   * Familiarity with NIST, DoD RMF, DISA STIGs, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity documentation.   * Ability to work on-site in Panama City Beach, FL.   * Strong written and verbal communication skills.   * Ability to organize evidence, track actions, and drive closure across technical teams.   Preferred qualifications:  * Security+, CISSP, CAP, CASP+, or similar cybersecurity certification.   * Experience with Navy, Army, joint, or tactical edge systems.   * Experience supporting ACAS, SCAP, STIG Viewer, eMASS, Trellix/ESS, or related tools.   * Experience with systems involving tactical data, C2, ISR, DevSecOps, cloud, edge compute, or mission networks.   Why ISPA  At ISPA, your work will not disappear into a spreadsheet. You will help secure systems tied to real missions, real operators, and real operational consequences. If you are the kind of cyber professional who wants to make systems both compliant and usable, both secure and mission-capable, this is where your judgment matters.
Responsibilities
The ISSO will protect and document the cybersecurity posture of mission systems supporting tactical and theater edge capabilities. This includes managing RMF activities, maintaining security documentation, and coordinating with technical teams to ensure ATO readiness.
