POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Support Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization’s technology integration strategies. This role involves managing and maintaining our organization’s IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. This individual will play a critical role in supporting our mission by implementing and overseeing technology solutions that enable our team to work efficiently and effectively.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience. Preferred 1-2 years of IT related experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $63,256.00 - $70,726.00 per year

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS STATEMENT(S)

  • Evaluates, tests, recommends, coordinates, monitors, and maintains information systems and cyber security policies, procedures, and systems, including access management.
  • Manages the upgrade of hardware & software as needed; including new anti-virus, operating system patches, or other mandated software upgrades.
  • Conducts routine system health checks, validates system settings, and performs necessary maintenance to ensure systems are operating efficiently.
  • Implements security and recovery measures including backups and data protection.
  • Manage and administer the organization’s servers, networks, and IT systems.
  • Performs primary administrative functions within the program’s cloud environments, ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of IT systems.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex system issues, working proactively to prevent potential problems and minimize downtime.
  • Implements and ensures compliance with IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and system security.
  • Plans and executes IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and implementations, while minimizing downtime and disruptions to operations.
  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements, making recommendations for technology solutions that align with organizational objectives.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry, evaluating their potential impact and applicability to our organization.
  • Review operational procedures within the organization and identify challenges in productivity that could be resolved with technological support, implementation, and training.
  • Assist with the implementation of new technology systems, including training employees on how to use new tools and software.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy to ensure that organization technology infrastructure meets current and future needs.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organizations technology systems, including hardware, software, and networking.
  • Create and maintain equipment inventory of IT equipment
