    Who we are: Subsea Craft is a fast growing, privately funded, UK-based SME delivering Advanced Maritime Technology. We leverage our team’s defence experience and technology expertise with cross-industry partnerships in the field of advanced maritime engineering. Our market ready platform, VICTA, is an optionally crewed / payload carrying dual-domain platform designed to operate at speed over range, capable of rapid transition beneath the surface to operate submerged, enabling the discreet delivery of effects within contested waters. It is a unique, innovative British platform focused primarily on the defence market but with utility beyond.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven working experience as an IT Administrator, System Administrator or relevant experience
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), patch management and cloud technologies
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux and Apple operating systems and platforms
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra and Purview.
  • Knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BSc/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
    Note: Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum Existing right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with Security Check likely for specific projects. *

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Install and configure software and hardware components
  • Ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
  • Manage network servers and technology tools
  • Set up accounts and workstations
  • Perform regular system upgrades to ensure systems remain updated
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages and ensure network security
  • Develop and maintain local networks to optimise performance
  • Train new system users and set up their accounts
  • Keep an inventory of all IT assets and ensure they are maintained properly
  • Develop technical documentation and manuals
