Description

Telework is available for this position; however, changes to the telework program are at the Agency’s discretion. Remote-centered employees may be required to report in person to one of the agency’s multiple reporting locations, as determined by management, and may be required to utilize a shared workspace or “hotel” when working in the office.
Under the direction of the Information Technology Manager (ITM I), the Information Technology Associate (ITA) plays a critical role in supporting the California Privacy Protection Agency’s day-to-day technology operations. This position provides direct technical support to staff and board members, manages agency devices and accounts, and assists with system administration in a secure, hybrid, and cloud-based environment. The ITA serves as the frontline of user experience—resolving issues, maintaining access to essential tools, and contributing to a secure and productive work environment. The role also supports documentation, onboarding, light data reporting, and internal workflow improvements. This is a hands-on, service-oriented role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. It offers a unique opportunity to grow within a small, high-impact team that values reliability, trust, and continuous improvement.

San Francisco – One Sansome Street, Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94104
