POSITION SUMMARY
As an IT Instructor, you’ll bring technology to life in the classroom! You’ll deliver engaging, high-quality instruction using a variety of teaching methods designed to match different learning styles—all in a supportive and interactive learning environment. Whether you’re guiding students through programming fundamentals, cybersecurity concepts, or hands-on troubleshooting, you’ll be at the heart of their learning journey. You’ll also be responsible for daily attendance, evaluating assignments and exams, and most importantly, inspiring the next generation of tech talent.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
§ Degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Computer
§ Six years of combined education and work experience in the Information Technology field
§ Relevant industry experience and knowledge of:
§ CompTIA certification such as A+, Network+ and Security+ or equivalent
§ Computer and network hardware support including printers, network equipment and computer system repair
§ Microsoft platforms such as Azure, SharePoint, Exchange and Microsoft 365 Administrator
§ Microsoft Windows, Office 365, OneDrive, and Teams
§ Computer security including firewalls, antivirus, other cyber security tools and threats
§ Cisco Routers and network equipment
§ Linux operating systems
§ Basic AI concepts
§ Cloud infrastructure and concepts
§ Project Management in the IT industry
§ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
§ Strong organizational and time management abilities
§ Passion for adult education and student mentorship
§ Previous teaching experience an asset
§ Experience with Cengage Online Learning Platforms, Brightspace and XtremeLabs is an asset
§ Deliver engaging and comprehensive instruction in accordance with the Information technology Associate and Software labs.
§ Prepare lesson plans, learning materials and assessments
§ Support and guide students in both theoretical and practical learning
§ Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress and evaluations
§ Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment
