As we continue to expand and drive innovation, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Business Analyst to join our team in Singapore. Here’s a glimpse of your responsibilities:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in business analysis, preferably in an IT or software development environment.
  • Soft skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex business processes and requirements. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effectively conveying information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Tech-Adept: Proficiency in requirement management tools and agile project management software.
  • Attitude: You’re organized, meticulous, detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work, and always approach tasks with a positive attitude.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Project Acumen: Strong administrative skills and a general understanding of the project life cycle, project documentation, and project standards.
  • Methodologies: Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) are a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Requirement Elicitation and Analysis: Collaborate closely with product owners, stakeholders, and end-users to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Translate business needs into actionable tasks for the development team.
  • Process Mapping: Analyze current business processes to identify areas for improvement. Work with stakeholders to define and document new processes and workflows that align with agile principles and project goals.
  • Backlog Management: Maintain a well-organized product backlog, prioritizing user stories and features based on business value and dependencies. Regularly update the backlog to reflect changing requirements and priorities.
  • User Story Creation: Translate business requirements into clear and concise user stories that outline the who, what, and why of each feature or functionality. Craft user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria that are understandable by both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the development team and business stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and project progress.
  • Acceptance Criteria Definition: Work with product owners and development team members to define clear and concise acceptance criteria for user stories. Ensure that acceptance criteria are testable and reflect the desired outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the QA team to validate that user stories meet acceptance criteria and ensure that the delivered product aligns with business expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for process improvement within the Scrum framework. Contribute to retrospectives and sprint planning sessions to enhance the team’s efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation of requirements, user stories, and relevant project information. Ensure that all documentation is accessible and understandable for both technical and non-technical team members.
