JOB SUMMARY:

At Master’s Transportation, the Information Technology Business Analyst is the liaison between our client/end-user community and our IT staff; responsible for analyzing and evaluating business processes, systems, and data to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for enhancing efficiency and productivity within an organization. They gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders, conduct research, and use various tools and techniques to identify business needs and propose solutions. The IT Business Analyst also plays a crucial role in facilitating communication between different departments and ensuring that projects are aligned with the overall business objectives. The IT Business Analyst will be integral in Master’s Transportation agile methodology, along with project management activities, such as creating project plans, monitoring progress, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of initiatives. Overall, a Business Analyst acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping to translate business requirements into actionable plans and strategies.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience in analytics and systems development

Preferred Education/Experience/Certifications:

  • IT business analyst experience within automotive manufacturing industry, or similar

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Drive awareness of requirements across business units and identify substandard systems processes through evaluation of real-time data.
  • Serve as thought leader for technical business processes, developing systems prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels.
  • Translate business needs into user stories, journey maps, and product requirements.
  • Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development.
  • Determine, develop, and trace user requirements for systems in production, to ensure maximum usability.
  • Collaborate with internal agents, sales leaders, and cross functional stakeholders to identify pain points and opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes, including the delivery of monthly status reports to all appropriate parties.
  • Partner with engineering to deliver intuitive, scalable solutions that improve quoting, onboarding, servicing, and reporting.
  • Author and update internal and external documentation and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation.
  • Conduct daily systems analytics to maximize effectiveness and troubleshoot problems.
  • Facilitate discovery and planning for new business development initiatives, including pilot programs and strategic partnerships.
  • Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with partners for optimized systems integration and respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendations.
  • Advocate for the voice of the internal agency and customers in product decisions.
