SUMMARY:

The IT Coordinator serves as the organization’s internal technology individual, ensuring smooth daily IT operations while acting as the primary liaison with the external IT support provider. The IT Coordinator provides first-level or second-level support for routine technical issues, manages IT asset documentation, coordinates vendor contacts, and oversees user account onboarding and offboarding processes. This position ensures employees receive timely support while larger or more complex issues are escalated to the contracted IT support company
This role is accountable for all facilities in the AFFB network, including the Sarasota Office and Warehouse and the Food Resource Center and Warehouses in Desoto County. During times of disaster, this role may be required on-site as a part of the facility management team.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to coordinate effectively with external vendors and escalate issues appropriately
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Windows Operating Systems, and common office technology
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to recognize highly confidential information and handle it appropriately
  • Creative problem-solver; acts with appropriate urgency yet employs patience and collaboration
  • Committed to serving vulnerable populations to end hunger in the community served by AFFB
  • Acceptance of and commitment to AFFB’s values, vision, and mission
  • Other duties as assigned in accordance with the role and AFFB mission

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience providing IT support in a professional environment
  • Experience with VOIP systems (RingCentral preferred)
  • Excellent communication, follow-up, and employee support skills
  • Possess a valid FL driver’s license, motor vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Able to meet the underwriting requirements to operate personal vehicle or fleet vehicles for business purposes

Preferred

  • Contract/vendor management experience
  • Prior experience in a nonprofit or small-to-mid-sized business environment
  • Basic network administration knowledge, or a certified network administration designation
  • IT project management experience (major systems conversions or upgrades)
