ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (REASON POSITION EXISTS IS TO PERFORM THESE FUNCTIONS)

1. Supervises the Software/Systems Administrator and Desktop Technician positions, managing daily tasks and technical performance.
2. Responsible for the management of a corporate help desk process for both CCEC and Beacon Broadband, ensuring issues are corrected timely and steps in to resolve escalated issues when necessary.
3. Implementation, distribution, and maintenance of required server software, hardware, and electronic resources for CCEC and Beacon Broadband systems and employees. Manages virtual and physical environments as well as disaster recovery systems.
4. Participates in phone and help desk support as needed; requiring travel to site locations. To include image, configure, install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain enterprise servers, workstations, laptops, tablets, smart phones, VOIP phones, multifunction printers and other peripheral devices for both CCEC and Beacon Broadband.
5. Provides training and support for employees, managers and the board in the use of software and hardware required by the day-to-day operations of CCEC and Beacon Broadband.
6. Oversees the lifecycle and inventory of current devices and software working in conjunction with the Corporate Services department.
7. Assist with the maintenance and usability of communication/network infrastructure including wired, wireless, and fiber networks between offices, substations, communication sites, and the World Wide Web for all locations.
8. Availability for on call emergencies and after hours / weekends for system maintenance or for any IT needs.
9. Supports all departments with software integration, development, training, research and hardware for both CCEC and Beacon Broadband.
10. Control and protect data and resources for CCEC and Beacon Broadband in accordance with the IT Information Security Plan.
11. Anticipates future network needs, identifies proactive solutions to satisfy needs for both CCEC and Beacon Broadband.
12. Manages licensing, compliance issues and laws, and company policies in the daily use of electronic tools and resources by CCEC and Beacon Broadband employees.
13. Responsible for IT Budget planning as assigned, coordinating with CCEC purchasing agent in ordering all IT related supplies and equipment, and documenting IT purchases ensuring costs are within budget constraints.
14. Secures and monitors all service agreements on IT equipment; ensuring cost controls on maintenance programs.
15. Track, maintain, and secure adequate levels of IT equipment inventory for both CCEC and Beacon Broadband.
16. Acts as IT Project Manager and works with managers to oversee all network, security, and information technology implementations. Helps to effectively manage multiple projects ensuring efficiency and timelines are achieved.
17. Continual and or retraining in software or hardware specific requirements and knowledge due to changes in offered resources.
18. Evaluates and modifies existing programs to accommodate changes in system requirements and equipment configurations.
19. Actively participates in committees and specialty groups as required.
QUALIFICATIONS

PRIMARY PURPOSE
Responsibilities include but are not limited to overseeing network maintenance, systems administration, and control of data and electronic resources used in the day-to-day business of CCEC. Supervise and assist Software/Systems Administrator and Desktop Technician positions to image, configure, install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain enterprise servers, workstations, laptops, tablets, smart phones, multifunction printers and other peripheral devices. Modify and fine tune operating systems to obtain compatibility with peripheral hardware and application software. Support workstation and server connections to the enterprise network. Maintain server systems and application availability. Works with system and network vendors to maintain system uptimes. Responsible for the coordination of workstation and laptop procurement and disposal/recycling. Maintain records of hardware assets and software licenses. Oversees the development of training materials and the delivery to end users.
