Description Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio (LASCO)’s mission is to provide civil legal aid and advocacy to overcome unfairness and injustice, reduce poverty, and increase opportunity. LASCO has a long-standing history of being committed to searching out the patterns, causes of, and solutions to the repetitive and fundamental legal problems facing low-income Ohioans and pursuing the legal recourse needed to address those problems. Since 1966, our organizations have helped thousands of Ohio’s poor obtain and keep housing, secure public benefits, worked with families to gain and maintain economic stability, and helped domestic violence survivors to live free of fear and abuse and to obtain the resources needed to sustain themselves and their children. In collaboration with organizational leadership, the IT Director will be responsible for proactively leading the strategic and operational management of all information technology platforms for LASCO. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining technology infrastructure, systems, and services to support the overall mission of the organization. The IT Director ensures effective and secure IT operations across multiple office locations. You Will: Provide forward-thinking operational direction for IT systems, infrastructure, and services aligned with organizational goals Initiate definition and execution of IT goals, strategies, policies, and roadmaps Ensure the reliability, security, and availability of all IT systems and services Strategically direct the implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and performance of network, systems, security, and cloud infrastructure Serve as primary incident manager of IT issues, lead recovery planning and business continuity strategies Proactively develop proposals to change management processes for IT updates and upgrades Manage enterprise-wide technology and digital transformation projects Develop, manage, and oversee the annual IT operating budget Anticipate needs and identify cost-effective solutions and technology investments Establish and sustain strong cybersecurity practices and controls Lead system security, risk management, and regulatory compliance efforts Collaborate with leadership to align technology to support organizational strategy Preemptively cultivate and manage relationships with external partners, service providers, technology vendors, and stakeholders Create, implement, and enforce IT policies, standards, and best practices Work collaboratively across departments while directing, mentoring, and supporting internal IT staff Provide support for building security Contribute to organizational leadership meetings and long-range planning initiatives Stay informed on emerging technologies and assess their relevance to the organization Be a part of a community of collaborative and mission driven professionals Requirements You Have: Significant experience in IT leadership roles, preferably in a multi-office or professional services environment Demonstrated project management and strategic planning skills Strong knowledge of IT best practices, infrastructure, security, and cloud services High ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and manage a team of professionals Excellent communication skills, both orally and written, with diverse audiences Ability to facilitate collaboration as well as build and sustain productive relationships with diverse individuals, groups and organizations A commitment to access for all people with a wide variety of lived experiences both internally and externally Strong work ethic with an ability to connect big picture ideas to day-to-day work Ability to prioritize workload to manage time and tasks and delegate responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner High ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion Proficiency in Microsoft applications, knowledge of current technologies and commitment to remain up to date with industry best practices IT certification(s) (e.g., CISSP, PMP, ITIL) High level of familiarity with legal case management systems and data security compliance English language proficiency is essential, Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field Prior experience in a non-profit or legal services organization a plus, but not required Other Details: It is the policy of LASCO not to discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, national origin, disability, age, ancestry, and military status or any other characteristic protected by law.
