OFFICE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY Information Technology Manager (Digital Services Support) (25260821) We are seeking a highly skilled IT Manager to serve as the primary technical focal point for our digital transformation initiatives. You will lead the technical resolution of complex integration issues across external vendors and internal IT teams, while supporting major website and application modernisation initiatives. This role covers enterprise CMS and cloud platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Wix Enterprise, optimisation of user traffic from China through suitable CDN and routing design. You will be required to ensure stable, secure, and high-performing digital services across donation enablement systems, ESG applications, and university web platforms. Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs for AEM-based applications, ensuring seamless integration with front-end components; * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement digital solutions that enhance user experiences across web and mobile platforms; * Engineer, optimise, and maintain websites, ensuring high performance and scalability; * Manage, monitor, and optimise digital experience platforms such as Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, e-signature, signage, CMS tools, etc.; * Implement security measures on the AEM platform; * Lead the technical execution of projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical best practices; * Lead the technical resolution of complex issues involving network, CDN, CMS, application, and payment gateway integrations; * Act as the primary technical liaison to mediate and resolve operational conflicts between external vendors and internal IT infrastructure teams; * Drive performance optimisation for cross-border traffic, including improving access experience for users in China through appropriate CDN, caching, and routing strategies; * Provide strong technical leadership on AEM-related controls including Apache Dispatcher configuration, redirection logic, regex-based URL mapping, and the Java-related understanding required to support enterprise implementations; * Ensure user workflow requirements, interface enhancements, and Figma-led design changes can be properly integrated across university systems; and * Take up other IT projects and assignments as assigned. Requirements: * A bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, computer engineering, or related disciplines; * At least 8 years of hands-on experience in website development, website engineering (including SEO and CDN), and behavioral analytics (using Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics); * Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Adobe Certified Expert, Google Analytics Certification) are highly desirable; * Proven experience as a digital experience technical lead with a strong knowledge of SEO best practices and web performance optimisation; * Working knowledge of a content management system (e.g. Adobe Experience Manager, WordPress, Joomla, Drupal) with the ability to customise it through making programmatic changes would be advantageous; * Hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Java, and SQL; * Experience with DNS and version control systems (e.g., Git) configuration; * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues and translate business requirements into technical solutions; * Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment; * Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage; and * A proactive approach to learning and staying abreast of industry trends. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review and mutual agreement. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
