The Employment Training Panel (ETP) is recruiting for an Information Technology Manager I (ITM I) at the Sacramento Central Headquarters in the Information Technology Unit (ITU).
Are you an experienced IT leader ready to make a strategic impact? Under the direction of the Deputy Director in the Chief Information Office, the Information Technology Manager I will lead the IT Unit (ITU), aligning technology services with agency goals to support secure, modern, and efficient operations. This hands-on leadership role combines technical oversight, staff development, and operational continuity to ensure responsive and high-quality service delivery across the organization. The manager will drive system modernization, oversee enterprise-wide infrastructure, ensure compliance with statewide policies, and support long-term strategic planning in collaboration with executive leadership. Responsibilities also include IT procurement, budget tracking, and maintaining security and business continuity standards. The job is located in Sacramento. This position is headquartered in Sacramento and may be eligible for telework under ETP’s telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.
