INVESTIGATION
The Fire Investigation Division determines the origin and cause of fires, aiding in the prosecution of arsonists and seeking out new or unknown fire hazards.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for managing and delivering the daily operations of all agency information technology systems and activities. This position will establish and implement long-term goals, policies, and procedures for the information technology unit. The position will provide all network infrastructure requirements, recommend system enhancements and determine long-term systems needs and hardware/software acquisitions to accomplish the organization’s business objectives. This is a supervisory position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in information systems and analysis, or seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the same field.
Additional related experience may be considered in lieu of educational or time-based requirements at the discretion of the agency.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
In-depth knowledge of computer systems capabilities, hardware and software integration, and effective personnel utilization strategies.
Strong understanding of voice, video, and data communications, as well as core concepts in computer processing, word processing, and database management.
Demonstrated ability to assess and integrate agency-specific information technology requirements into strategic software and system planning.
Proven ability to prepare and present both technical and non-technical reports clearly and concisely, both in written and verbal formats.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Hands-on experience with:
NCSC and Palo Alto firewall technologies
Microsoft SQL Server
Hyper-V virtualization platform
Windows Server operating systems (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022)
Windows 11 OS
General network infrastructure and administration
