OFFICE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY Information Technology Manager (Workflow and RPA) (25260466) Position description The Information Technology Manager will be a key member of the Applications & Integration Services Section within the Office of Information Technology, reporting directly to the Senior Information Technology Manager. This role is pivotal in driving the university’s digital transformation by leading the development and management of workflow automation with RPA solutions across various university functions to enhance operational efficiency and productivity. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and manage automated workflows solutions to streamline administrative and academic operations; Architect and implement workflow with RPA applications to enhance operational efficiency and productivity; Collaborate closely with academic and administrative units to identify digital transformation opportunities and deliver tailored technology solutions aligned with institutional goals; Oversee end-to-end project lifecycles, manage external vendors and system integrators, and ensure timely delivery of technology initiatives that meet strategic objectives; Serve as the subject matter expert, supervising internal technical teams and external consultants to ensure best practices in system design, development, and deployment; Engage business users to collect functional requirements and translate them into actionable user stories for application development and enhancement; and Take up other IT projects and assignments as assigned. Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplines; Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in IT application development; Demonstrated success in developing and managing workflow automation applications based on workflow engines such as ServiceNow; Hands-on experience with RPA tools for workflow automation; Knowledge of CRM systems such as Salesforce is an advantage; Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and guide a small team through workflow application development projects; Capability to effectively translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable user stories; Solid project management skills, including vendor coordination and oversight of timely project delivery; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with academic and administrative stakeholders; and Ability to work well in a team environment while also being capable of working independently. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
