POSITION OVERVIEW

Are you a results-driven and skilled Information Technology Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment? Do you enjoy managing full-scope projects—from strategy through execution—that enhance current systems and implement impactful new solutions?
At Fischer Paper Products, the IT Project Manager plays a key leadership role with responsibility for understanding, simplifying, and optimizing business processes across the organization. This includes continuously evaluating and improving internal systems and tools to drive efficiency, enhance performance, and support strategic growth.
In this role, you will lead cross-functional technology initiatives while supervising and mentoring the IT team. You’ll partner closely with departments across the company to implement solutions that align with organizational goals and improve daily operations at every level.
This is a hands-on, on-site role based at our recently built headquarters in Antioch, IL. Hybrid work arrangements may be considered after initial onboarding period.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Proven experience in project management and process documentation
  • Ability to gain buy-in and motivate across all levels of the organization
  • Positive attitude, natural curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong ability to understand and explain complex processes
  • Confident presenter to both small and large groups
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in similar roles involving IT project management, business systems, and process optimization
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of work experience and education required
  • Certifications related to project management or IT systems (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, ITIL) are desired

TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Syspro, SAP, or JD Edwards
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems

You will:

  • Oversee critical systems, infrastructure, and process improvement projects from planning to execution
  • Lead and mentor a small IT team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure technology solutions align with business goals and add real value across departments

This is a high-impact position for a proactive, solutions-oriented leader who thrives in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with leadership to identify and lead process and systems improvements
  • Manage system enhancement projects from process mapping through go-live, including documentation and training
  • Recommend, develop, and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards
  • Support and lead the execution of Fischer’s long-term IT strategy
  • Enhance the use of platforms such as Syspro, Domo, and Salesforce to improve access to actionable business data
  • Direct and manage day-to-day IT operations including infrastructure, cybersecurity, user support, onboarding/offboarding, and reporting
  • Oversee the development of dashboards and reporting tools across all business systems
  • Supervise, support, and act as a backup for the Business & Applications Analyst
