About the Role

We are seeking a Security Platform Engineer to join our team in Sydney. This role is central to operating, maintaining, and enhancing our security telemetry and analytics platforms, with a strong focus on Google SecOps (SIEM/SOAR) and BindPlane. You’ll ensure reliable data ingestion, platform stability, and seamless delivery to support detection engineering, incident response, and threat hunting.

What You’ll Do

• Configure, administer, and maintain Google SecOps SIEM/SOAR environments.
• Manage BindPlane collectors and telemetry ingestion pipelines.
• Design scalable, resilient data architectures for security analytics.
• Automate deployments using Python, Terraform, and CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborate with SOC, incident response, and cloud engineering teams.
• Provide platform-level support during investigations and incidents.

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms (Google SecOps preferred).
• Expertise in telemetry ingestion tools (BindPlane or similar).
• Strong knowledge of log formats, parsing, enrichment, and routing.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Experience with Python, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong collaboration and incident support skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BigQuery or cloud analytics platforms.
• Background in SOC operations, cloud engineering, or security engineering.
• Certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer or Google SecOps (nice to have).
