Information Technology Security Specialist   General Description: We are seeking a highly motivated IT Security Specialist to protect and support our organization’s technology environment. This role is responsible for maintaining a strong cybersecurity posture while also providing network and end-user support to ensure seamless day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment supporting business operations, live events, and critical systems where uptime, security, and responsiveness are essential. RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:   Cybersecurity (Primary) * Monitor and respond to security threats, alerts, and incidents * Administer security tools (endpoint protection, firewalls, MFA, identity access) * Conduct vulnerability scans and coordinate remediation efforts * Support incident response, investigations, and documentation * Maintain security policies, standards, and compliance requirements * Manage user access and enforce security best practices * Deliver security awareness and training initiatives Network & Infrastructure (Secondary) * Support network operations including switches, firewalls, and wireless systems * Assist with VLANs, segmentation, and secure network design * Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues * Support infrastructure upgrades and maintain documentation End-User Support (Secondary) * Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for escalated issues * Support laptops, mobile devices, and enterprise applications * Assist with onboarding/offboarding and access provisioning * Participate in game-day/event support and on-call rotation * On-site role with occasional evenings, weekends, and event support * Participation in on-call rotation for critical incidents * Demonstrates our One Team philosophy of Passion, Accountability, Customer Focus, and Teamwork.  SKILLS & COMPETENCIES * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment * Excellent communication and customer service skills * High attention to detail and commitment to security best practices MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience) * 3–5+ years of experience in IT security, networking, or systems support * Experience with security tools (SIEM, EDR, firewalls) and Microsoft environments (M365, Azure AD) * Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, VLANs, wireless) * Relevant certifications preferred (Security+, CISSP, CISM, CCNA) PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: * The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use handle, or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, communicate with others. * The vision requirement includes the ability to review written and electronic materials in both digital and physical format. * The employee must be able to transfer and move items for departmental needs. * The employee must be able to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed in light of the strong focus on external communications and relationships.
