Description

The Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) serves as the lead in the Automated Business Services (ABS) Unit, which includes one ITS I and one Information Technology Associate. The Information Technology Specialist I Lead is responsible for working as an IT project manager (utilizing project management tools like Microsoft [MS] Planner and MS Project) in the PMG. The Information Technology Specialist I Lead will lead automation initiatives within the Business Services Section (BSS), ABS Unit and is responsible for assisting the IT Supervisor II in coordinating and prioritizing the ABS team’s overall workload. The position acts as the lead analyst and project leader in the overall development and maintenance of several complex, automated applications utilized within BSS and the Administrative Services Division (ASD).
Other key responsibilities include: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation in existing workflows and Adobe PDF forms. Design, implement, and manage solutions to automate manual processes using tools such as AEM Forms Designer and Workbench, Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI and other automation platforms. Ensure compliance with organizational standards, policies, and applicable regulations in all automation projects. Develop and deliver training materials for end users to maximize adoption of new automated systems. Track project milestones and deliverables, and maintain clear documentation. Provide technical guidance and leadership to team members and ensuring seamless integration of automated solutions. Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve business operations.
The ITS I reports directly to and receives assignments from the Information Technology Supervisor II and the Information Technology Manager I of the Information Technology Section, Project Management Group and functional supervisor Staff Services Manager II of the BSS.

Working Conditions
Monday-Friday, 0800-1700 hours. This position may be eligible for telework after the probation period is successfully passed.
