Description

EXPERIENCE:

  • Three plus (3) years working in a strategic sourcing role with IT, Telecomm, and
  • Managed service contracts and bids
  • Three plus (3+) years working with IT procurement processes
  • Three (3) years of Vendor and Supplier negotiation and relationship-building
  • Two plus (2+) years performing cost-benefit analysis
  • Two (2) years with IT asset management processes and policies
  • Two (2) years writing RFI/RFP for competitive bids
  • Prior IT and Telecom sourcing experience (preferred)

EDUCATION:

  • Undergraduate degree and 3-5 years of relevant work experience in business,
  • Management, finance, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with our internal procurement partners, external suppliers, DoIT executive leaders, managers, and other teams to support the procurement and asset management of IT assets.
  • Facilitates the entire cycle of the IT procure-to-pay process, which includes requisitioning, invoicing, and payment matters.
  • Manages IT hardware assets and software license portfolio concerning risk, cost control, governance, compliance, and performance objectives.
  • Develops and maintains district policies and processes related to IT procurement and RFP standards.
  • Performs data manipulation, cost-benefit analysis, solutions to support required IT service delivery capabilities, and discussions with suppliers.
  • Periodically does research to understand market trends and utilize market intelligence to contribute to path-forward decisions.
  • Responsible for researching and understanding assorted technologies, software, and complex IT service options.
  • Uses and manipulates data to design and implement strategies for cost reduction, including negotiations, conducting RFPs, optimizing service and managing the implementation of service turn-ups or terminations.
  • Works with the district E-Rate funding partners to ensure optimal access to funds for procuring eligible services and internal support for compliance.
  • Manages the district E-Rate program.
  • Establishes a cadence to engage in two-way dialogue with suppliers and partners to ensure alignment with IT goals and their capabilities.
