Description

A Permanent IT Support Partner is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Galway based client. Seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Support Partner to join the Galway campus in Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive IT support, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure. This role is based on-site at our facility in Galway and may require occasional after-hours and some travel will be required to support other office location.


THE ROLE:

  • Provide technical support for PCs, peripheral devices, and the M365 suite of applications.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, application, access, and connectivity issues
  • Support PC deployment via Autopilot, imaging, setup, maintenance, replacement of IT equipment.
  • Manage hardware asset lifecycle and records as per standard process.
  • Assist with onboarding, off-boarding, and employee technology setup.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of servers and networking equipment.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems, with a focus on cyber-security best practices.
  • Assist with Operation technology security efforts for devices connected at the site in OT environment.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and support to end-users, both on-site and remotely.
  • Document and track incident support requests, resolutions, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to ensure seamless IT operations.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and updates to IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Participate in IT Enterprise and local projects, rollouts, and site support activities.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT support role or similar position.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with PCs, peripheral devices, and the M365 suite of applications.
  • Knowledge of servers, networking, and cyber-security is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102) are a plus
