Job description:About the role: We are seeking a highly skilled Web Infrastructure & Cloud Migration Engineer to design, maintain, and modernize secure, high‑availability web platforms. This role focuses on Apache administration, SSL/TLS security, traffic and load‑balancing architecture, and executing lift‑and‑shift migrations to AWS using modern cloud services and best practices. A day in this role: Compile, configure, and upgrade Apache and OpenSSL from source on Linux servers to meet security and performance standards Manage and tune web server configurations to support high‑traffic, highly available applications Analyze web traffic flow and implement load‑balancing strategies to ensure reliability and scalability Install, renew, and troubleshoot SSL/TLS certificates, cipher suites, and HTTPS issues Plan and execute lift‑and‑shift migrations using AWS MGN, ensuring minimal downtime Configure and maintain AWS infrastructure components such as EC2, VPCs, subnets, and S3 Collaborate with application, security, and operations teams to resolve issues and optimize environments Document configurations, migration steps, and operational procedures of responsibilities the person will be performing. The expertise requested: Strong hands‑on experience administering Apache on Linux, including compiling Apache and OpenSSL from source  Solid understanding of web server architecture, request routing, and load‑balancing concepts  Proven expertise with SSL/TLS, including certificate management, cipher configuration, and HTTPS troubleshooting Experience performing server migrations using AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) Working knowledge of AWS core services: EC2, VPC (subnets, routing), and S3 Comfortable troubleshooting performance, security, and connectivity issues in production environments Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.   Desired or nice to have expertise: Experience with additional load‑balancing technologies (ALB/ELB, NGINX, HAProxy, or F5) Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform) Knowledge of Linux hardening and security best practices Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK, etc.) Experience supporting large‑scale or business‑critical web platforms   Our Core values are focus to inclusion and diversity, all qualified applicants will be considered for employment and will go thru a fair recruitment process regardless of their race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin or disability status.Your journey with us begin begins here!!
