JOB PROFILE SUMMARY

The Infrastructure Architect and Team Lead will provide technical leadership and support technical teams to deliver consulting and managed services projects to a wide range of customers locally in Australia and New Zealand as a key member of our Database, Cloud and Platform Practice. This role will be primarily architecting & supporting OCI-based infrastructure solutions for a wide variety of customers, as well as providing OCI subject-matter-expertise, supporting BAU requirements and guiding team members in building components as part of these solutions. The successful applicant will also act as a Team Lead for the ANZ Infrastructure consultants, supporting in resource management and operational delivery.
This role includes billable, business development, and relationship management activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Consulting experience with technical architecture analysis and design in Oracle-based environments – at least 5 years
  • Strong Linux (OEL/RHEL) system administration skills – at least 5 years
  • OCI infrastructure architecting with recent hands-on OCI implementation and BAU support experience – at least 4 years
  • Experience as a Team Lead or Technical Lead – at least 2 years
  • Experience presenting and delivering appropriate technical / product solutions
  • Experience working successfully with management teams to deploy initiatives aligned to business objectives
  • A proven track record of leading, coaching and motivating technical teams including working with third parties/vendors, including mentoring experience of more junior team members.

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be physically based in Australia – any Australian state is acceptable.
  • Must be able to obtain an Australian security clearance – minimum Baseline, preferred NV2

HIGHLY DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Microsoft Azure architecting and implementation experience – 2 years minimum preferred.
  • Strong familiarity in supporting Oracle DBAs on Oracle-based infrastructure.
  • Cloud architecting experience utilising Oracle ExaCS / ExaCC.
  • Proven technical infrastructure design skills.
  • Ability to convey a strong presence, professional image, and deal confidently with complex technical problems.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
  • Ability to devise creative technical solutions.
  • Relevant OCI & Oracle certifications.
