WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a candidate with strong experience building project plans, managing stakeholders and delivering projects to meet clear timescales. The role is ideal for someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills who enjoys working collaboratively, building strong relationships and monitoring and tracking milestones. The candidate should be comfortable speaking publicly reporting on readiness activities to a diverse audience within the business. We are looking for a candidate who has strong IT skills and is comfortable with Microsoft working packages and project management and reporting tools.

In this role you will work within the Operational Interface & Safety Change Team, which is part of the Delivery Partnership function in the Major Projects Directorate, to ensure TPE’s readiness for ‘Entry Into Service’ for all infrastructure change programmes ongoing as part of the TransPennine Route Upgrade (TRU) - a programme of enhancement works to the railway network in the North of England. It is a consolidated programme of improvements and upgrades between Manchester Victoria & York via Stalybridge which will provide the capability to support future service aspirations on the route.
The role will involve representing TPE’s interests at relevant external infrastructure development and station working groups as part of TRU; ensuring all TPE internal stakeholders are engaged with, and aware of, how changes affect them and their responsibilities for delivering it; produce documents that monitor , track and report on change schemes and communicate this to the wider business ; produce customer and operational readiness documents for the wider business; collaborate with key external organisations such as TOCs, FOCs, Infrastructure Manager and Delivery Partners to ensure consistent and robust cross industry approach to delivering infrastructure change.
