HOW A INFRASTRUCTURE DRAFTER/CAD OPERATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT ● Prepares and maintains blueprints, maps, charts, graphs, and other technical drawings ● Create detailed drawings of telecom / IT infrastructure to reflect engineering solutions and facilitate installation ● Perform visual inspections and conduct precise measurements to verify engineering drawings ● Prepare final as-built drawings to USAF / US Army standards as formal facility records ● Prepare Level 3 engineering drawings, circuit schematics, and illustrations using AUTOCAD or Micro Station WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: ● Education: AA/AS in CAD/Drafting/Engineering Tech (or HS + CAD training/portfolio) or similar ● Required Experience: 5- 8 years in the following: ● CAD: telecom/OSP/ISP preferred; DoD/base experience preferred ● Fielding, surveys, and as-built capture Support site surveys / walkdowns with OSP/ISP teams; capture measurements, pathways, and constraints. ● Engineering package support/ Support development of deliverables typically expected on ITN/ISP/OSP work. Convert redlines and field notes into as-built drawings; keep revision history clean. ● Layering, scale, north arrows, legends, line weights, sheet organization match cable IDs, handhole IDs, duct counts, and rack U-space Ensure drawings comply with local base standards and CTSS-III program standards: naming conventions, revision blocks, deliverable folders, metadata discipline ● Support controlled document delivery: revision logs, transmittals, and “current approved set” management ● Security Clearance Level: Secret ● Location: On Customer Site ● US Citizenship Required: CLEARANCE GDIT IS YOUR PLACE: ● 401K with company match ● Comprehensive health and wellness packages ● Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career ● Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications ● Cutting-edge technology you can learn from ● Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays CERTIFICATIONS: CompTIA Security+, Autodesk Certified Professional (AutoCAD), BICSI/FOA preferred SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Intermediate experience in the following: • Preparing Level 3 engineering drawings, circuit schematics, and illustrations using AUTOCAD or Micro Station for electronics systems or equipment • Preparing detailed CAD drawings of telecommunications, IT infrastructure, systems to reflect engineering solutions, and to facilitate installation of the telecommunications and IT infrastructure • Preparing final as-built drawings that become part of the facility records in AutoCAD to USAF or US Army standards • Performing visual inspections and conducting precise measurements to verify engineering drawings for electronic systems or equipment #DefenseOCONUS #GDITPriority The likely hourly rate for this position is between $33.49 - $45.31. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
