Responsibilities

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

This role ensures schools and education customers receive reliable, secure and effective IT infrastructure and support. From maintaining networks and cloud platforms to advising on best practice and delivering proactive support, you’ll play a crucial part in enabling technology-led learning environments.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Deliver and support on-premise and cloud-based solutions for education customers.
  • Work on large, complex infrastructure projects to agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Provide technical consultancy to customers, offering expert advice and generating new business opportunities.
  • Attend sites to deliver proactive technician services and ensure service levels are met.
  • Provide 3rd line support during peak times, resolving incidents through the EIS Service Desk.
  • Diagnose and investigate complex IT issues, collaborating with colleagues and suppliers as needed.
  • Liaise with third-party contractors to ensure successful delivery of technical services.
  • Identify IT risks and recommend actions to mitigate them in partnership with the Team Manager.
  • Deliver remote support when not on-site, ensuring accurate documentation and issue tracking.
  • Support wider ICT and project teams when required.
