Description The Infrastructure Engineer will provide in-depth support and lead problem solving and implementation efforts. This position is responsible for the analysis, recommendation, provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems, network and cloud infrastructure hardware, software, and related technologies ensuring that system-hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to corporate standards and are operational, as required by service level agreements. Proficient in setup, configuration and Operations; Maintenance of Server Hardware/OS Proficient in setup, configuration and Operations; Maintenance of Backup Hardware/software Proficient in setup, configuration and Operations; Maintenance of Computer systems. Researches, evaluates, and recommends new computer network equipment and technologies. Analyzes current products and recommends changes/upgrades to senior management. Collaborates with other technical staff and management in the testing of new software, computer systems and network technologies. Utilizes monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software and hardware equipment to troubleshoot and isolate problems, gauge network performance, and trace data and protocol activity. Maintains timely and complete documentation of all daily and project work, using standard methods and procedures. Devises solutions to complex operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment. Develops and executes contingency plans for network software and hardware failures including isolated and major outages. Diagnoses and repairs problems in a manner that prevents future errors and problems. Provides internal consulting, technical guidance, information and support to application developers, computer operations, workstation support, company management and departmental clients. Keeps abreast of relevant technologies and maintains selected technical certifications. This is a customer facing position and such this candidate must have the ability to directly interface with clients, customers, and vendors. Remote and On-site troubleshooting and support of UPS, Server hardware and software. Network wiring, including patch panel jumpers and documentation, wiring patch panel to endpoints, proper termination of network jacks to patch panels, proper wiring troubleshooting. Reviews Alerts for alarms via documented procedure and respond to ISP or escalate to Admins as needed. Receive, process, and inventory client equipment shipped to Ascent Data. Setup, and configure new computer equipment per client specifications. Communicate with Clients directly to schedule On-Site time as needed. Prioritizing issues regarding business impact. Requirements 3+ years of relevant IT consulting or MSP experience Associate degree in related Technology, or have equivalent IT support experience, certifications, and/or training Strong Windows 10 Desktop Support experience. Knowledge of Windows Server Systems Administration, to include Active Directory Users and Computers and respective account management. SMB Network Share Permissions. Print Server Management. Fundamental LAN troubleshooting experience. Familiarity with ticketing systems.
