Infrastructure Engineer III Pay Range: $86,260 – 138,906 annually Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle Do you enjoy designing and supporting networks, networked software and associated operating systems? NFM’s Infrastructure Engineer III is responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is a remote position requiring the candidate to reside in NE, IA. MO., KS or TX. Job Duties: A Day in the Life Collaborate: Work with infrastructure staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems Develop: Implement and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery Analyze: Conduct research on network and systems products, services, protocols, and standards to remain current with industry trends and best practices Propose: Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and networks; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems Provide: Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems with existing infrastructure Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes? Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field 4 – 6 years’ experience in network or systems administration or engineering Strong system engineering at the command-line level (Linux/AIX, Windows) Well-versed in IBM Power and SAN Technologies SME in Cloud Services and Architecture, public or private (IBM, Azure [Local], AWS, GCP, OpenStack, VMware, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365 Services) Expert knowledge of multi-tier architectures: load balancers, proxies, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking Experience with Configuration Management (Ansible, MECM, DSC, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, etc.) Strong scripting skillset with working knowledge of one or more programming languages (Python, Go, C#, C++, Ruby, PowerShell, etc.) Design of self-healing and fault-tolerant services Understanding of Infrastructure as Code, including design and security, configuration management, integration, deployment, performance monitoring and tuning, backup (Commvault, Veeam, NetBackup), automation, and modern dev services for source control Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the USA on a full-time basis.
